A China Z Visa is a work visa for foreigners who have received a job offer in China.

Required Documents:

1. Passport

Applicants must submit their original passport with at least six months’ remaining validity and a minimum of two blank visa pages.

2. Photograph

One recent photograph is required for the Chinese visa application. The photo must be 48 mm × 33 mm in size, with a head width of 15–22 mm and a head height of 28–33 mm.

3. Work Authorization Documents

Applicants must present one of the following sets of documents, as applicable:

  1. Work Permit Notice issued by the State Bureau of Foreign Experts.
  2. Foreigner’s Work Permit (Original).
  3. Registration Certificate of Resident Representative Offices of enterprises of foreign countries (regions), issued by Chinese authorities of industrial and commercial administration.
  4. Approval for Commercial Performances issued by the Chinese government authorities for cultural affairs.
  5. Letter of Invitation to foreigners for offshore petroleum operations in China, issued by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).
