Family Visa (Q1)

Issued to those who are family members of Chinese citizens or of foreigners with Chinese permanent residence and intend to go to China for family reunion. The intended duration of stay in China exceeds 180 days. 

*"Family members" refers to spouses, parents, sons, daughters, spouses of sons or daughters, brothers, sisters, grandparents, grandsons, granddaughters and parents-in-law.   

Required Documents:

1. Passport

Applicants must submit their original passport with at least six months’ remaining validity and a minimum of two blank visa pages.

2. Photograph

One recent photograph is required for the Chinese visa application. The photo must be 48 mm × 33 mm in size, with a head width of 15–22 mm and a head height of 28–33 mm.

3. For Family Members of Chinese Citizens

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. Invitation letter issued by the Chinese citizen (the applicant’s family member) residing in China.
  2. Copy of the inviter’s Chinese ID card.
  3. Copy of the inviter’s Chinese passport.
  4. Original proof of family relationship between the applicant and the inviter.

4. For Family Members of Foreign Nationals with Chinese Permanent Residence

Applicants must submit the following:

  1. Invitation letter written and signed by the foreign national holding Chinese Permanent Residence and residing in China.
  2. Copy of the inviter’s passport and Certificate of Permanent Residence of Aliens.
  3. Original proof of family relationship between the applicant and the inviter.
  4. Informed consent form for the marriage signed or stamped by the applicant’s parents.
  5. Identity documents of the applicant’s parents.
  6. Photograph of the applicant’s parents holding the informed consent form.
  7. Proof of the man’s financial capacity.
  8. Written undertaking stating that, in the event of marital breakdown, the man voluntarily agrees to provide a bond for the woman’s return to Bangladesh.
  9. Detailed identity information of the introducer (including name, identification documents, telephone number, residential address, employer, etc.).
  10. Consent form signed or stamped by the leader of the applicant’s community.
  11. Identity document of the applicant’s community leader.
  12. Photograph of the applicant’s community leader holding the consent form.

Additional Documents for Minors (Under 18)

1. Birth Certificate

A photocopy of the child’s birth certificate must be submitted.

2. Parents’ Passports

Photocopies of both parents’ passports must be provided.

3. Letter of Consent

A signed letter of consent from both parents, certified by a government authority, is required. The letter must confirm approval for the child to apply for a Chinese visa, specify the visa validity and number of entries, and state that the parents will cover all related expenses.
